Jonesborough TN Camera Vandalized November, 2019

There has been no mention of this in any internet search our staff has conducted but the photos are proof that vandalism was attempted.

A motorist passing through Jonesborough contributed the following information:

“On November 6th, 2019 around 11 AM I passed through Jonesborough and noticed the access plate on the base of the camera support post at the intersection of Headtown Road and 11E was off and wires appeared to be dangling.  On the return trip about an hour later, I stopped and took the following pictures.”

UPDATE:  According to more information submitted, the covers were off for over 2 months and at one point the camera flash light post on the south bound side had it’s base cover removed and wires were pulled out.  As of Feb 6th, 2020, the base plates had been reinstalled and a motorist observed someone tripping the north bound camera.

11E and Headtown Rd Intersection
The access panel has been removed and the wires appear to have been tampered with.
